Aaaand another Gravel Muster prize winner, thanks to Shimano Australia Bike!

This time it's Mark Nurmela who entered the competition during Otway Odyssey to win a lovely set of Shimano XT pedals.

Tell you what these pedals would be good for Mark?

CLUE: It rhymes with Ravel Buster 😂

In all seriousness, thanks to everyone who's entered Gravel Muster so far. It's going to be epic!

Trail runners: we’ve got some BIG news!

We’re launching a new 3-day stage run in Great Southern WA called…

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐔𝐍 𝐁𝐈𝐁𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐌𝐔𝐍 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄

Here’s what you need to know:

- 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐎 𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 (no need to organise team mates – which can be like herding cats – just bring your friends and run TOGETHER)...

- 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐮𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 (there’s nothing like soaking in the raw beauty of this place with an elevated heart rate and endorphins flowing through your veins)

- 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (providing the ideal challenge for all runners):
> Long Course: 33 - 39km per day
> Short Course: 17 - 24km per day

- 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐖𝐀: race logistics are simple so you can race in the morning and relax in the afternoon (and visit a winery, swim at the beach or call asleep on the couch!)

- 𝐍𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 – we can drive you to the start of each stage so all you have to do is turn up and run!

- 𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐧-𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (thanks to Skratch Labs) (so you can run light and free)

- 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 (to preserve the natural environment and event experience for all runners).

- 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬: 𝐅𝐫𝐢 𝟏𝟓𝐭𝐡 - 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝟏𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍:

We could bang on all day about how speccy this part of Australia is, but it’s probably easier to check out the pictures. We’ve included several from last year’s race to show you what’s in store.

Once you’ve had a look and got inspired…

You can get all the race details on the link above – or – hit us up in the comments if you have any questions 👇

Hope you can make it, It’s going to be a ripper!

What about the kayaking event I have Cerebral palsy and I’m really keen on doing the paddling

This is so epic 🙌 I just got back from a few days in Denmark ❤️

Looks amazing! That’s the same weekend as the Geo Bay Cool Water Classic 🙃

CONGRATULATIONS Damien Bevilacqua!!

You are the lucky Shimano Gravel Muster entrant to WIN the Shimano GRX Carbon Wheelset (valued at $1,500).

Here's what Shimano has to say about these hoops:

"Whether your preferred riding terrain is fast gravel roads, serpentine single track, or bushwhacking along old goat paths, these lively tubeless-ready wheels deliver the key performance features necessary to assure a great day on the bike."

Did someone say "fast gravel roads"? Plenty of those in the red center.

Can't wait to ride with you and the new wheels in August, Damien.

Don't you hate when event pics come out AFTER a race and you wonder why you didn't enter?

If so, take this post as a warning...

XTERRA Dunsborough is coming up in a few weeks (20th - 21st April) and these "greatest hit" pics show the kind of scenes you can expect.

If that's not enough to get you revved up and raring to go, we don't know what is!

Get all the details and enter here: bit.ly/4clYGAK

REMEMBER: This year, there are all the off-road triathlon events you know and love – PLUS – 2 stand alone trail running events (which can qualify you for the XTERRA Trail Running World Championships to be held in the USA later this year).

See you in sunny Dunsborough ☀️
